Building School and Community Partnerships

Webinar focused on identifying the various types of school-community partnerships and  recent research on the effects of these partnerships on student achievement and school improvement. The session explored the components that lead to effective school-community partnerships.

The following questions were addressed:

  • What is the definition of school-community partnerships?
  • What do we know from the research about the effects of school-community partnerships on student achievement and school improvement?
  • How are effective school-community partnerships cultivated and sustained?
  • What are the key elements of these partnerships? What resources and infrastructure must be in place for them to succeed
